What do you mean by the term “affiliation?”
The term affiliation refers to Dillon International and Buckner Children and Family Services working together to further adoption services for more families and to provide more opportunities to adopt domestically and internationally.
Will this affiliation change the countries each organization currently serves?
No. Buckner Adoption and Maternity Services will continue to provide adoption services to Russia, Ethiopia and China, in addition to countries where Dillon is a licensed adoption agency.
Will I still be able to work with my adoption counselor?
Yes. Our Texas office will continue to offer all adoption options to families in Texas, includingdomestic infant, foster-to-adopt, texas waiting children and international adoption.
I live in Texas. Can I still complete my adoption here?
Yes. Our domestic adoption programs will not change.
I have a sister who lives in Minnesota. What are her options for adopting through this new affiliation?
International adoption is open to residents of all 50 states. Domestic adoption is currently only open to residents of Texas.
Will Buckner still do domestic adoptions?
Yes, in Texas.
Will Buckner now do domestic adoptions in Oklahoma or other states?
No. As of now, Buckner will maintain its license for domestic adoptions in Texas only.
Will Buckner continue to provide services to birth parents?
Yes. Buckner Adoption and Maternity Services will continue to provide free counseling services to birth parents to help women in crisis pregnancies make informed decisions about their future and the future life of their child.
Who do I call if a friend is experiencing a crisis pregnancy?
You can still call Buckner on our 24-hour confidential hotline with any crisis pregnancy questions or to set up a counseling session. That phone number is 1-800-441-2670. You can also chat online confidentially at www.beafamily.org during the day Monday-Friday.
Who do I call about starting the adoption process?

Will you still work out of your Dallas office?
Yes. Staff will still be located in Dallas at the Buckner office and will also be located in Tulsa, Okla.; St. Louis, Mo.; Tustin, Calif.; Little Rock and Fayetteville, Ark.; Richmond, Ind; and Kansas City, Kan.
