Buckner staff develops an individualized service plan for each child that addresses the following areas:
• Foster parent training (up to 50 hours per year)
• Home study assessment
• Case management
• Liaison with TDFPS
• Counseling
• Monthly supervisory visits
• On-going training
• 24 hour on-call support
• Respite care
• Foster parent support groups
Support Services
Buckner provides support services to foster parents throughout the state of Texas to help promote a strong, nurturing family environment for foster children.
Support for foster parents includes:
• Training (up to 50 hours per year)

• Daily per diem
• Respite care

• Foster parent support groups
Support for foster-to-adopt parents includes:
• Coordination of adoption process with TDFPS and attorney
• Preparation of court report for finalization of adoption
• Adoptive parent support groups
