Buckner completed its first adoption in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 1884 and has a wealth of experience when it comes to foster care and adoption services. Our experienced team can answer any questions you may have about the process and help guide you in the best direction for your family. We look forward to hearing from you!  

Current Needs:

For our Foster Care and Foster-to-Adopt program, we are currently recruiting families who are open to providing loving homes for:
-   Children ages 10 and up with special emotional needs
-   Children or teens with special needs, including mentally-disabled or autistic
-   Sibling groups of three or more children
-   Teenagers
-   Infants who need a stay-at-home parent to heal from drug exposure or neglect. 

For our Texas Waiting Children/CPS Adoption program, we are currently accepting applications for families open to adopting:
-   Children ages 10 and up with special emotional needs
-   Non-Anglo children ages 10 and up
-   Children or teens with special needs, including mentally-disabled or autistic
-   Sibling groups of three or more children
-   Teenagers

For our Domestic Infant Adoption program, we are looking for families who are willing to maintain an open relationship with a child’s birth family. To learn more about open adoption, click here.
